Data Center And Colocation CLOSES 5.5 MEGA-WATT COLOCATION CONTRACT
San Diego, California U.S.A. – October 28th, 2017 — The colocation market keeps growing in 2017 with Data Center and Colocation announcing the closing of a large multi-million-dollar 5.5 mega-watt colocation contract in the United States. The initial installation will commence in November 2017 and expand to 5.5 mega-watts of power in 60 to 90 days. As part of this project, future growth is planned in other locations around the world. The data center facility features 24/7 secure operations, N+1 continuous power systems and local connections to many of the major carriers and ISPs serving the region.
John Giaquinta, President and CEO of DataCenterAndColocation, states “It was challenging to find a data center with that much power capacity, space and growth to this amount in a short period of time. With months of engineering, design work and negotiation, our client has signed a long-term contract to colocate their equipment at an un-disclosed location here in the mid-west United States. Security, power availability, power costs, infrastructure and build costs were key to our client’s decision. Coordinating the installation along with the network connectivity was vital to the success of this project. We are extremely proud to have been selected as their exclusive trusted advisor to research an appropriate site, plan construction and negotiate the contractual terms of their project”.
DataCenterAndColocation says the project has been operating in “stealth mode” for some time now per the direction of their client. Announcing one of the largest colocation opportunities to the data center community would have caused a tremendous amount of exposure which the client did not want due to their business strategy. Keeping the client’s name shielded and business activity was paramount to the project.
